Good quality food and natural flavors are an important part of my daily life. Whether I'm designing a unique wedding cake in my studio or baking an apple pie for my family in my home kitchen, I aim to find the perfect balance between textures and flavors.

A few years ago I started experimenting with layer cakes for friends and family—and that is when I became hooked. Nothing beats the satisfying feeling of seeing people take a bite of something you've made and watch a smile appear on their face.

From there, I attended pastry classes to enhance my knowledge and skills and I was lucky enough to be able to attend some workshops from world-renowned cake artists.

I have fallen in love with modern, elegant designs and I am inspired by the amazing work of other cake artists, fashion, travel, textures, interior design, photography and everything that nature has to offer.

I'll go the extra mile for good Italian food, will pick cheese or "bitterballen" over something sweet anytime, and love having those long evening dinners with friends and family. Music, fresh flowers and hand balm are things I cannot do without. If not working you can find me on the beach taking long walks with our Golden Retriever Billie, watching a classic movie, going to (rock) concerts, traveling, trying new foods and flavors or having a cappucino on my own and watching the world go by.

I'm a people person and love connecting with others over food.

Expect a perfectly balanced cake that's not overly sweet. I use a lot of fruit and toasted nuts to naturally elevate flavors and to create a cake that you and your guests will remember for years to come.

What makes my work unique is my versatility. I get just as excited about designing a cake with beautiful sugar or wafer paper flowers as I do about designing a minimalist modern cake. The cake I make for you will be inspired by your style as a couple and your wedding day—an edible reflection of your love story.

While my aim is to create beautiful and unique designs, the flavor of the cake is just as important.
